The Movement

For the Black Lives Matter movement, many images of protests, peaceful movements, and demand for rights have been misrepresented by the media and news channels. 

I wanted to demonstrate that the movement for Black Lives is not a unilateral movement, but a movement that requires and includes all lives working together to support and advocate for black people. In this photoshopped picture I have shown a white news person holding up an image of majority black people protesting in Kentucky for justice for Breonna Taylor, and the bigger picture that is hidden from the news watchers is that “white silence is violence” and that people of all ethnicities are protesting for justice. I would hope to show this image on the nightly news so that the middle-aged viewer may see that everything they are presented with is not what it seems.
